The Buffalo News building can sometimes look a bit ominous. I admit that since I've never been inside, other than stepping through the doorway for a couple of seconds, I always wondered what it was like. The building definitely has 'man behind the curtain' look to it. Well, this was a fun photo to wrap up the Halloween week. Did you know that Harold Arlen, born on February 15, 1905, was from Buffalo? He was the composer who wrote the film score for the "Wizard of Oz", "Over the Rainbow" sung by Judy Garland.

Avalon Development Takes Another Building
Work started on returning two-way traffic to Main Street's 700 block on Monday. Yesterday, Avalon Development made a strategic purchase on the same block where it has been working since 2001. The development company headed by Chris Jacobs acquired 715 Main Street at the northeast corner of Tupper. The 'Buffalo 101' Event
