I couldn't help but post this photo. The timing was perfect - standing in front of the Donovan Building snapping a photo when a part of the Buffalo News crew came strolling out of the building dressed as characters from the Wizard of Oz. Yes, it was Halloween day, but the image was so surreal... I figured that I was never going to get a chance to use the photos, since there is no picture page on BRO. That's why I figured that I would post it with a 'Your Caption Here' title.

The Buffalo News building can sometimes look a bit ominous. I admit that since I've never been inside, other than stepping through the doorway for a couple of seconds, I always wondered what it was like. The building definitely has 'man behind the curtain' look to it. Well, this was a fun photo to wrap up the Halloween week. Did you know that Harold Arlen, born on February 15, 1905, was from Buffalo? He was the composer who wrote the film score for the "Wizard of Oz", "Over the Rainbow" sung by Judy Garland.

So is Warren Buffet the Wizard, or the Wicked witch of the west?

Or maybe we can start calling him the great "Oracle of Oz".

    Hey, Here's the Caption:

    The "Yellow-Journalism Bricked Road."

Okay, okay, I'm sorry...and I don't mean that, but it was necessary. It's just so obvious a caption, and that William Randolf Hearst was the father of Yellow Journalism... the picture and the offer to caption-name it is irresistable.

"Follow the Yellow Journalism Bricked Road"

    Say it ain't so Toto.

    Toto too?

In the next picture, Warren Buffaet is the Wizard behind the curtain, eh?
