The 'original' ultimate
Bet you didn't know you missed a great game of ultimate Frisbee aka 'disc' at Delaware Park today. Yes, ultimate in Buffalo is alive and well. Considered (by me) to be the greatest sport of all time, ultimate is a mix of rugby, football, and soccer, but it's played with a 175 gram disc or frisbee. It's a sport of endurance, strategy, and honor. Our Buffalo co-ed traveling team plays against Toronto, Rochester, Albany, and a number of other regional teams. If you are an ultimate player or are looking for a new team sport, send us an e-mail and we will get you the '05 practice schedule. At the moment, it's Saturdays @ noon at Delaware Park's rugby field. Come handle the disc with the local club team (UB ultimate players making guest appearances) or show your support for UB's women team, 'The Pitchforks.'

Sabres V Preds Game 24
Four games in 6 nights certainly marks a rough patch in a schedule, and the Buffalo Sabres showed what kind of toll it can take by losing to the Nashville Predators 2-0 on home ice.
