Stained Glass and Spaghetti

On July 23, the Buffalo Religious Arts Center is sponsoring its first ever five hour bus tour of four downtown churches starting at 9:00 a.m. This monthly bus tour visits each church, and serves lunch at the home of Buffalo's spaghetti parm, Chefs, all for the low price of $50.
The first tour, "Splendors in Stained Glass," takes tourists to Saint Francis Xavier Church located in Black Rock, which also happens to be the future site of the Buffalo Religious Arts Center; followed by Trinity Episcopal Church, Saint Ann's Church and Shrine, and Corpus Christi Church. Visitors will able to see windows by Tiffany, LaFarge, Zettler and Meyer, in other words, one of the best collections of stained glass artists in the world.
The bus leaves the parking lot of Saint Andrew's Church, located on Elmwood and Sheridan, at 9:00 am sharp on July 23rd. The $50 cost includes bus transportation, services of an expert docent, entrance to each church, and, of course, lunch at Chef's.
For more information, and to reserve a place now, call tour coordinator, Mary Holland, at 481-2350 or visit the website at buffaloreligiousarts.org.
Reserve your chance now to bask in the beauty of Buffalo's churches and finally know what exists behind their walls.

Cordish, involved since 2005, is partnering with the St. Louis Cardinals on the multi-block, mixed-use development.

For weeks now, anyone trying to walk down the west side of Main Street (near the corner of Allen) has been met with this disgraceful mess. You can't walk, you can't bike, you can barely look at this mess without wanting to shake someone awake at their City Hall desk. A day maybe, but weeks... really?
When I walked into Campieri …
Picture this scenario; you are a fly on a wall in a major company and you are watching the president read the cover letters of possible employees. The president sits at his desk, letter in hand, cup of coffee in the other, and begins reading as you look over his shoulder. You are no editor, but after the first three sentences you can't help but notice at least two grammatical errors. The president immediately puts the letter in the garbage and picks up the next one.
