Pink Chocolate and Fashion @ Shadow Lounge, 1/28/07
Ruby Ocasio, the woman behind the popular Voluptuous Diva shop on Hertel, has partnered with Maryann Fecture and Danielle Mott to form Fashionista Productions. The ladies have combined their talents in fashion and cosmetology to create a company which specializes in presenting fashion shows for charities fundraisers, grand openings, and birthday parties using products from local vendors. Fashionista will assist companies in planning events from conception to production, making sure that every event is unique and perfectly suited.
To launch the new business, they will be holding a show of their own at Shadow Lounge on Hertel, entitled "Pink Chocolate and Fashion." A preview for Valentine's Day, the show will be a buffet for the senses, with belly dancing and henna tattoos by Iliays Dance Emporium, tango and spoken word performances. Tastes include pink martinis, a chocolate fountain and finger foods. Vendors will include Bella Boutique, Instyle Boutique, Floral Expressions, Sydney's Closet, Accentric, and of course Voluptuous Diva. In addition, Angel from Sai One will be doing tarot card readings.
The event will take place at Shadow Lounge on Hertel Avenue, January 28, 2007. Doors open at 6:30 PM with the show starting at 8 PM. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance from participating vendors.
