Michele Costa @ Insite Gallery

Michele Costa's amazing, artful puppet actors are now on display at Insite Gallery. These are worth a trip out of the way to see. They are odd, scary, eerie, beautiful, exotic, dynamic, expressive, unique, disturbing, delightful... you can not imagine. I was so surprised!
Michele is a local treasure who's work needs to be seen and appreciated. She is a theatrical pro who has worked with a host of companies to make puppet actors ranging from an eight foot Othello to tiny characters.
Theatre Figuren is a fully developed professional performance company. The roles are filled by the artful puppets and masks along with voices and music. This week there will be two performances at the Insite Gallery at 810 Elmwood, in the Neighborhood Collective.

Caroline Kennedy was in town for a visit with our mayor yesterday. A possible choice to succeed US Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, Kennedy's name has been mentioned along with that of Attorney General Andrew Cuomo (son of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo) and our own Byron Brown, among others.
Certainly, Kennedy has "been around politics" all of her life, which is to say she was born into a family of politicos and lived in the White House--neither of which would necessarily f …
Free light rail rides on downtown's above ground section could be derailed thanks to the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority's budget mess.
