Lenny Revell Band ~ Lessons

Lenny Revell is solo on piano, vocals and lyrics, yet often has a band behind him. The musicians are diverse. He has performed with: Tim Webb (Gruvology), Jason Neubauer (That 80’s Hair Band) , Ric Stave (Disco Duck), Dave Camarda, Larry Perry, Amanda Nagurney, Brian Seeger, Mark Verdino and Tim Collins. Lenny has been featured in WNY Music, ArtVoice, The Buffalo News, Rochestor At Home, Keyboard Magazine and Teen Ink Magazine.
His song entitled “Who Am I?” has been featured in Regal, Lowes and AMC movie theatres nationwide during the release of Spider Man 3 in May of 2007. Another track of his “Love Is Just her Fix” was chosen as a theme song in an indie film “Gone Like Solomon” by actress and filmmaker, Angie Gregory. He has performed nearly every venue in Western New York including across country in: New York City, Nashville, Missouri, Florida, and as far as Toronto, Canada.
“It’s Like The Way” begins with a strapping intro on piano. This is an instant hit. The keys are in direct line with vocals, an aspect of Revell that is often overlooked. The vocals are similar to the piano, almost a twin.
“Change” is about being true to oneself and to not concentrate on the past or future but to just BE, to grow and keep moving. This is rebirth.

Back in April, Melanie Majewski submitted a wonderful article on Errol Daniels. In it, she goes in to great detail about the artist’s background and photographs. She also makes mention of a show coming to Buffalo once a venue was found. That venue has finally been named: El Museo at 91 Allen Street.
Next Friday, September 12th from 7 PM until 10 PM there will be an Opening Reception for the artist. The exhibit consists of Daniels’ photography which centers on creating portrai …
A week after his 83rd birthday and on the eve of a new year, Michael Goldberg collapsed in his Manhattan studio. He died of a heart attack and the world lost one of the few remaining survivors of the New York School and a major abstract expressionist painter. They are presenting a memorial exhibit entitled “Ode to …

As for his music, here is an excerpt from Radford's take on Gallo: This is not experimental music made for the sake of experimentation. As Gallo explains, improvisation is …
