Hot Views from the Finish Line
It was a hot one! Congrats to everyone that not only completed the Corporate Challenge, but just showed up in the heat. (If figmo hadnit called requesting some shots from the finish line, I might have opted to stay in my cool basement doing laundry.)
But I am so glad that we walked over to Delaware Park to get right into the mix of runners and supporters under an array of colorful (and much needed) tents. It was great to see the transformation of the park near the zoo. The spirit of the crowd was pumped and happy, despite the heat. Everyone was more than willing to share cold beverages. Man, that first beer never tasted so good. (and the secondOeand Iim not a beer drinker n thatis how hot it was!)
Standing at the finish line, I was completely energized by the runners big, small, old, young, and for the first time ever I felt that I should be running too. So Queenseyes, if Buffalo Rising is able to scrounge up a tent next yet (legit or unofficial) I promise, that I will run (or crawl) in the 26th Corporate Challenge proudly wearing a BRJ T-shirt. (And Iim sure weill win the T-shirt competition. Kudos to Mod-Pac for this yearis entry.) Congrats also to M&T Bank for having the most (363) entrants in the race.
It is 9:47pm and Halleluiah, the rain has started! It is time for everyone to cool off. Enjoy some more photos of the 25th JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge.

John, Sr. the day after the decision. Nearly two weeks later, gambling continues in the temporary facility and work on the permanent casino is proceeding.

Just a day after getting lambasted by Donn Esmonde, City Hall has announced that there is going to be a $20,000 overhaul conducted on its Observation Deck and the surrounding area. According to The Mayor, the news article and the announcement were simply ironic, and the improvements were scheduled to take place regardless.
