Congratulations Michael on your ninth year on Allen. For those of you who are planning on attending Curtain Up! this Friday, don't forget about the Gallery Walk and College Street Gallery's big party. It's going to be a big night for the arts in Buffalo... a scene that grows by the day. There at least two new gallery/studios opening in the Elmwood/Allen District (stay tuned), and here's the rundown (below) of the Gallery Walk this Friday.     Story Image Free light rail rides on downtown's above ground section could be derailed thanks to the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority's budget mess. That is the news coming out of a Buffalo Place meeting this morning. Facing a budget shortfall and reduced State operating assistance, the NFTA is scrambling for new revenue sources and is contemplating charging for rides along the lengthy downtown pedestrian mall.
