Clinton Says Hold On
After all of these news sources reported that Clinton had accepted the secretary of state position, the attached press release came out of her office.
It was reported as recently as this afternoon that nothing would be decided until after Thanksgiving, but then the rash of news alerts poured in saying that it was a done deal.
I suppose we'll know soon enough, but in the meanwhile the speculation continues. Don't let that stop you from commenting on the ramifications such a move could have on Buffalo.

A Kennedy Visits Buffalo

Downtown Free Fare Zone May be Axed
Free light rail rides on downtown's above ground section could be derailed thanks to the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority's budget mess. That is the news coming out of a Buffalo Place meeting this morning. The NFTA Santa Ride
Well it is Christmas time in the city and the NFTA helped put people and especially children into the mood in a very festive and fun way. One of my favorite memories of childhood was taking the train downtown with my grandfather. I would gaze out the windows and watch the tunnel speed by. It always felt like we were going a million miles an hour.

i read somewhere that Higgins is a serious contender for the Senate seat... does that hold any merit? That would be a big plus for Buffalo. Apparently they mentioned Byron Brown's name on the news last night. Um, k? That'll be a huge blunder... but would jive with speculations that he's using his current position as a springboard to bigger and better things.

I think Higgins would be great. Then we should put the progressive leader Sam Hoyt in his congressional seat! Sounds like an amazing opportunity for Buffalo and Upstate NY!!!

Considering Brown can't read or write, I think the choice would be easy if it to go UNY. It would be fun to watch Casey get victimized if he were to go down to DC. It would take probabaly two weeks before he was outed by civil intellectual operatives who would easily gun him down like a wounded deer.
