I think this is a big problem for us "small guys" trying to get something done downtown. It would be great to find some contractors willing to work with us at reasonable prices.

John, turning the apartments into condos is an option that we just started thinking about last night. I don't yet know what is involved from a legal point of view, but I think this might be a great option for us. I get the impression from this forum that there is a definite interest in condos. I'll keep everyone posted!

    Andy,

Not sure of your C/B ratios, but, even if you only broke just a bit more than even here, in selling the condos to recoup your costs, you'd have a successfully completed project, to show future angels/bankers.
