- I truly love Buffalo.
The people, the architecture, the history, the culture, and the small ratio of elitists to normal people are all part of what makes me proud to have adopted Buffalo as my hometown.
I believe that Buffalo is in fact rising, and I feel excited and fortunate to be watching it happen. Though, I must admit, I do have feverish nightmares about our little paradise getting the credit it is due and then being infiltrated by people that won't appreciate or foster those things that make it so special. I watched that happen in Seattle in the late 80s and early 90s, and, in my opinion, it ruined much of what was beautiful and lovable about that city.
In the last few decades, food and its preparation has become a hobby and a passion for people across the country. Because of this, I think that growing our city's food culture is one of the keys to helping Buffalo be as successful as it deserves to be.
Though I'm not Buffalo Rising's Food Editor any longer, I still write and talk about food in WNY whenever I have the chance. If you'd like to talk about food or tell me what's on your mind, zip me an email- you can find my info on my site FeedYourSoulBuffalo.com.

Rocky Horror Time Warps Into The Market Arcade

Juneteenth Freedom Fest
My family and I go to Juneteenth almost every year. It's way more kid friendly than Allentown's art gig and the food is better as well! A few years ago we were able to attend the Universoul Circus--it was one of the best times we've had. I doubt…
