Corpus Christi parish joins with St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Church in Buffalo to commemorate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, beginning with a special Mass at 1:30PM at Corpus Christi parish. Music for this celebration will be sung in Polish and English, featuring organist Bruce Woody and the Corpus Christi choir. At 3PM, a procession will begin at Corpus Christi and proceed to St. Stanislaus church on Peckham Street near Fillmore Avenue. All girls between 5 and 12 years old throughout the Diocese of Buffalo, as well as those who are receiving First Communion this year, are encouraged to wear their white dresses and take part in this inspirational procession. Parents are asked to bring flower petals for their child to strew in the procession. Rev. Anzelm Chalupka, Pastor at Corpus Christi parish, will be the principal celebrant at this service.
When the procession arrives, Bishop Edward M. Grosz, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Buffalo and Pastor at St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Church, will deliver the homily. In keeping with tradition, the procession will pause for devotions at a total of four altars, including two outdoor altars created specifically for this feast.
Light refreshments will be served immediately following the procession at St. Stanislaus Parish. Ample free parking will be available at St. Stanislaus, Corpus Christi and the Broadway Market. All are invited to take part in this beautiful celebration.

Keyshia Cole
Sun, May 25th 2008
8:00pm71 Symphony Circle,
Buffalo, NY
Keyshia Cole comes to Buffalo. Keyshia Cole is the real deal. Like many young people raised in a tough neighborhood, the 21-year-old songstress endured a tumultuous childhood in Oakland, California, and has fought all her life to keep her dream of a music career alive. Now she's realizing that dream on her own terms with her first album for the A&M label, The Way It Is. It's been a long road for Keyshia, but it's her powerful voice-- a bell-like instrument whose soaring clarity is topped off with a tantalizing touch of soulful grit -- that's carried her through, not to mention the diminutive singer's personal combination of sugar, spice, sass and sex appeal, along with a solid-steel spine. Also performing Ryan Leslie "Diamond Girl" and O'Neal Mcknight.
