The University at Buffalo School of Management's Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL) presents a seminar on Basic Accounting and Finance. The seminar is part of a series of business development sessions offered by CEL to the class of 2008 as part of the Allstate Minority and Women Emerging Entrepreneurs Program (MWEE) designed to provide protégés with technical advice on the varied aspects of running a small business.
Marion Kopin, CPA, MBA, MS Taxation and 2006 graduate of the CEL CORE program, will be the presenter. Marion is president and partner at Bechtel, Kopin & Company, CPAS, PC where she provides tax planning and preparation advice for individuals and entities. She has more than two decades of experience and is a frequent contributor to professional publications including Journal of Accountancy, Practical Tax Strategies, and Taxation for Accountants.

Headway's mission is to support people with brain injuries and other disabilities, and advocates for their right to dignity and full enjoyment of life. Each year 1.4 million people sustain a brain injury, and it is estimated that 5.3 million Americans have long-lasting cognitive, emotional, behavior and physical disabilities. These numbers are constantly growing as our U.S. soldiers are coming back from the war with brain injuries. We would like people to come enjoy great food, music, and prizes while raising money for this great cause.

Dance with the Jim Tudini Band at the Mary Seaton Room of Kleinhans Music Hall on the third Wednesday of the month, through June. Tudini features Buffalo legendary saxophone player, Bobby Militello, and a host of other fantastic local musicians. The dancers come from every generation and practice all different styles of dance. Swing, tango, waltz and more. Join Corky for a free dance lesson before the band strikes up.
