Activities include: live music from Sue Rozler, storytelling, paper crafts, kids garden fun, face painting and more! Enjoy demonstrations and interactive activities from the Buffalo Museum of Science, the Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences and visit cold blooded critters from Beaver Creek. Don’t miss our carnivorous plant demonstrations! Everyone pays kid’s admission.

    Living Roofs in Buffalo is a workshop about this sustainable- attainable approach to greening rooftops. David Lanfear of Bale on Bale Construction, a local natural builder, will present a workshop on low tech living roofs. David will give the rationale for living roofs, as well as describing the techniques for implementation. Everyone should leave inspired to build their own small living roof. For those interested, the information session will be followed up by a hands on session, participants can work on an actual green roof on a neighborhood garage.

      AIDS Walk 2008's goal is to raise $75,000. They need your help. Walk today and help fight AIDS by joining hundreds of Western New Yorkers walking in the 2008 AIDS Walk. You can walk solo, or start a team and ask your family, friends and co-workers to join you. The funds you raise will allow AIDS Community Services to continue providing critical help to thousands in the eight counties of Western New York who depend on our programs and services: primary medical care, case management, counseling, prevention education, housing assistance, nutritious meals and so much more.

      The 5K route winds through some of Buffalo's finest neighborhoods. After the Walk, stay and enjoy a free picnic style lunch as our way of saying thank you for your efforts.

            The Queen City Football Club of Buffalo takes on the Boston Aztec.

            Queen City FC is the defending Eastern Conference Champion. Last season, Queen City FC became the most successful soccer team in the history of senior level soccer in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls region, winning the National Premier Soccer League Eastern Conference Regular Season and Conference Playoffs. City also participated in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, winning in the first round of regional qualifying becoming the first team from Buffalo/Niagara Falls to win a match in this tournaments since 1914.

                Buffalo Gals Bring Home New Works celebrates the talent and dedication of a dozen young women now emerging upon the professional dance circuit, upon their graduation from high-ranking conservatories and colleges throughout the U.S. These women are coming back home from such places as Boston, New York, and Los Angeles for this very special performance, produced by Pick of the Crop Dance. These dancers received their early training from a cross section of Buffalo’s best dance studios. They have one mentor in common: Pick of the Crop Dance’s Elaine Gardner.

                Pick of the Crop Dance, a concert dance company, has been providing professional performances, training, and education to the western New York area and beyond for the past 25 years. The company is well known for its wide ranging and innovative concert performances integrating dance, music and the visual arts, and projects for children that emphasize their inherent creativity and imagination.

                  Hallwalls' Artists and Models art party has come to signify all that's cutting-edge & dynamic in the Buffalo arts scene and this year's event, Artists and Models: Unhinged is the must-attend event of 2008. After a three-year hiatus, Artists and Models returned in 2007—an event so successful that audiences & artists are still talking about it nearly a year later.

                  This year, Artists and Models: Unhinged is going to be a veritable feast for the senses with 33 original art installations, live music by Crittenden, DJ Ceiba, London vs. New York, and Eye Candy Burlesque show on the main stage with David Butler as the Master of Ceremonies. The Reactionary Ensemble room (video and live music), and The Fractal Project will have a DJ/VJ room, local and craft beer selections and great wine, locally-based food vendors Sonoma Grille and Ike's BBQ, and much more.
