The Art We Wear: Tattoo Art and Shanghai Kate
Listen to legendary tattoo artist Shanghai Kate Hellenbrand discuss the history of tattoo art from ancient Rome to “Sailor Jerry” Norman Keith Collins. Consider what Shanghai Kate refers to as “the forgotten art” of art history by learning the historical and anthropological development of tattooing, viewing images from her personal collection, and listen to a panel discussion of heavily tattooed persons as they share their experiences with the art.
