Embracing the World: An Arab Experience is a gala fundraiser for the International Institute of Buffalo. Presenting the 2008 Global Citizen Award to Rema Hanash, Vice President of Business Development, United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, and a Distinguished Service Award to Ahmed Jamil, Founding Chairman, ACCESS of Western NY. With featured speaker Bashar Issa. And, of course, great food, silent auction and raffle, music, and wonderful people! All proceeds benefit the International Institute.

Stuttering Support Group

If you stutter, you are not alone. The National Stuttering Association has had a local chapter in Buffalo since 1994, meeting twice a month and hosting a monthly social. Meetings are now held in Room 280 on the University at Buffalo Amherst Campus starting at 7:00 pm. Dates for the next meetings are September 3 and 17, and October 1 and 15.
