This post is for all you edamame loving, samurai wielding, unagi eating, sake jello slurping, sushi lovers out there in Buffalo. What could be a better way to start off your week than by paying a visit to Tsunami Restaurant? Why Monday? Well, that is the night that the owner/head chef, Mike Andrejewski, steps out from the kitchen to personally prepare an array of sushi that will blow your mind. Besides the traditional assortment of sushi and sashimi, Mike has concocted a few local specialties that are hard to pass up. A couple of our favorites are the unagi BLT hand roll and the beef on weck roll. Like I said, they are not traditional, but they they have become a staple at this local establishment. Throw in a little live music and a samurai sword and you have the makings of a... well you will just have to see for yourself. (Don't worry, the customer at the table was not calling for backup.) We also love the bamboo floors and the beautiful cobalt blue salt water fish tank. Did I mention the sake jello, prepared in traditional udon noodle soup spoons? Way to go guys!
