So what do you think... because a battle is brewing in the Allentown District. Second Skin, an ex-retail store located at the corner of Allen and Wadsworth is in limbo at this very moment. Many in the neighborhood feel that this location should remain retail, while others are pushing for a restaurateur from NY to be granted a change of use. If granted that change of use, the neighborhood would see a new restaurant come onto the scene. If denied, this location could sit stagnant for years to come.
Do we wait for retail to resurge on this corner as it has done on other sections of the street? Or do we turn it over to the winds of change? This is a pivotal location and will influence not just Allen Street, but Wadsworth, Day's Park and Symphony Circle as well. Tomorrow should prove interesting on BRO's City Channel, but I wanted to find out from visitors on the Trend Channel (who are obviously interested in retail) what their thoughts are on the issue. Do we give up a retail location to bring another restaurant onto the block, or do we hold out?
