The former Dulski federal building, recently going by the name of Two Hundred Delaware as it undergoes a transformation, has a new name. Meet 'Avant,' which is French for 'forward.'
Developers Uniland Development Company and Acquest Development unveiled the new moniker at a press conference today. Slated for occupancy in early-2009, the completely renovated 400,000 square feet, 15-story building will be feature hotel rooms, Class A office and residential condominiums. The project carries at $63 million price tag.
The revamped property will include a 150-room Embassy Suites hotel on the first seven floors, 128,000 sq.ft. of office space on floors 8 through 12, and 37 luxury residential units anticipated to be priced from $350,000 on the top three floors. Each use will have separate entrances and elevators, but will share many of the Embassy Suites features and services. Law firm Damon & Morey has signed on for two floors of office space.
UniQuest will be showing off plans for Avant during the downtown housing tour, this Saturday from 1 until 5 pm.
