Huron Street overlooking Roosevelt Plaza. Howardis Shoes occupied the building at the corner of Washington Street until closing late last year. Iskalo purchased the one-story property in February for $165,000.

The 4,500 sq.ft. structure with a glazed tile exterior is located across the street from Electric Tower, the former Niagara Mohawk Building that the developer is renovating for multi-tenant use. Prior to Howardis Shoes, the building was a Waldorf restaurant for approximately three decades. The property makes for an ideal restaurant location just one block from Main Street, the Hyatt Hotel and Fountain Plaza office buildings. New residential developments including Holling Place, Ellicott Lofts, Oak School Lofts, Buehl Block and The Belesario are also nearby.
