DisABILITIES Film Fest

Beginning October 7th, the Market Arcade will host the Disabilities Film Festival. Each Saturday through the month of October, a film will be shown depicting the multi-faceted experience of being disabled. Each week, a different speaker will also be there, sharing their knowledge on the subject of the film. Shows start at 2:00 and run until 5:00. Tickets are only $2.00 for adults and free to students with ID.

October 7th--

The Ringer, a recently released major motion picture, this comedy is about two able-bodied men that attempt to rig the Special Olympics. Starring the one and only Johnny Knoxville.

The accompanying speaker is Francisco M. Vasquez, executive vice-president of WNY's People Inc.

October 14th-

The Academy Award nominated treasure, Murderball. This exhilarating movie follows a team of quadriplegic full-contact rugby players. An amazing experience- even if you don't care for sports.

Mark Zupan, the film's star and a Paralympic Rugby Athlete, will speak.

October 21st-

Family Day. Three shorts will be shown. The Great Little Mouse, Smudge and Educating Peter (winner of an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short).

People Inc.'s Kids on the Block puppet troupe will entertain.

October 28th-

Syndrome is an award winning film about a young man with Down's syndrome. This film is directed by one of the star's childhood friends.

The director, Duane Graves will speak.
