At this time of year it is easy to forget how nice Buffalo is in Summer. March has to be the absolute worst month of the year. Gray, grimy, and cold, this month won't let winter slip away. As a parting winter gift March is likely to throw in a last minute slap in the face snowstorm as well. Having Easter this early makes it that much worse. Easter should be warm with flowers and sunshine. Easter in March just makes winter seem like it is lasting longer.
Going though my photo collection the image of this house caught my eye because it exudes summertime warmth. I felt warm just looking at it. Bathed in summery light this elegant white Victorian North Buffalo house with its delicate decorative features creates an age-old image of summer. The Fourth-of-July banners help to finish the scene. It is a good reminder of those beautiful carefree Buffalo summers. So hang on Buffalo. Summer may seem like a distant tease that is not quite real but, it will be here and it will be glorious. You can believe!
