Just to clarify, Donn Esmonde is a columnist. He doesn't write articles; he writes columns. They are opinion pieces.

Someone pumping 4.8 mil into the city? Why isn't this in the local paper? Don't those people have a clue? Good lord! I have only been reading this site for a week or so and I have learned more about Buffalo than I have reading the paper for the last 40 years!

The paper tends to report on these things a few days after they turn up here. Hey, they still have Donn Esmonde and Rod Watson over there so my subscription to Bflo News stays.

I had the pleasure of working with the firm of Hamilton, Houston & Lownie on a project in the past and they are truly great people to work with on all levels. I am sure this project will be a great success.

I can't stand Don Esmond's articles! They always follow the same exact format adn style of writing. His articles sound as if he is being extremely pessimistic or whining - even when he's discussing something positive that's going on in our city!

Although it does sometimes appear that the News picks up stories from BRO, the News ran a story on this on December 20, 2005 (I checked the archives).

I always enjoyed Esmonde's articles. Before BR came along, he seemed to be one of the few "feel goods" I could find to read.

    that's great...although her fiction isn't always amusing

That should become the next New Buffalo drinking game - read her articles and have a shot every time you see an innaccuracy...great way to get drunk!

Does that women realize that she dabbles in fiction or is she just too lazy to fact check? Pehaps she's angling for a job at the NY Times...

I do hope that the glass in the rendering isn't representing mirrored glass though.
