Looks like everyone had a great time.
Wish I would have gotten home a few days earlier so I could have gone.
They only had 3 kegs though, what was up with that? The beer was gone in no time. Didn't they know buffalo likes to drink? Good time .
Labatt should partner with a local bar/restaurant downtown or have their own venture downtown and make an empty storefront downtown into a real destination, ie New Era store. I'm not sure what this would entail, a store? a really cool bar? but it could be something with a lot of street presence and allow Labatt to further promote their brand and give Buffalo something really unique.
So far so go though, Labatt has been a great addition to Buffalo.
Jay sounds like a neat idea. Blue Bar on the Chip Strip.. ;) could be fun.
I was there today. it was a lot of fun and who doesn't like beer wenches and free beer. Grand time. Very fun.. but next time perhaps a megaphone would be appropriate, few people could actually hear what the the Labatt people said in their speeches.
other bar owners sometimes take issue with a beer company that they support starting to compete against them. Many bars would start dropping Labatt, as they would otherwise be supporting and advertising for their competitor.
This is awesome. I love Keith's Pale Ale, it was my favorite beer when I lived in Toronto. Can't wait to have it available on tap and in grocery stores here in Buffalo!

Unfortunately it's not the IPA -- the only beer I regularly cross the border to bring back home. The Keith's that they are launching in the US is "traditional lager". I've tried 3 different Keith's and they were all delicious, so I'm sure it's good, but not the IPA I go out of my way for..
I'm not completely sure but I think it might be against the law for a brewery to own or sponsor a bar not on brewery grounds. At one time almost all bars and saloons were owned an operated by breweries.
Jay: Good idea with the Labatt bar. Maybe Canalside would be a good location.
