Sometimes the authors at Buffalo Rising work on collaborative efforts in order to cover various events and stories. These posts can not be attributed to one single author, as it is a combined effort. Often times a formation of a post gets started by one writer and passed along to one or more writers before completion. At times there are author attributions at the end of one of these posts. Other times, “Buffalo Rising” is simply offered up as the creator of the article. In either case, the writing is original to Buffalo Rising.

A series of incredible images have shown up on SLiMG, an image hosting service (a pared down flickr to store pics). The photos are from the now defunct Buffalo China company, which at one point was a major manufacturing facility located just off Seneca Street at 75 Hayes Place. When Buffalo China stopped operating in Buffalo in 2004, the facility continued on as Niagara Ceramics. Niagara Ceramics officially shuttered its doors in 2013. As we wait for RiverWorks to establish ziplining at the Middle Harbor, Niagara Falls is preparing to open a MistRider Zipline experience that will take thrill seekers 2,200 feet through the Niagara Gorge. The first sale at Waterfront Place’s nine new townhouses closed yesterday and it was a doozy. Shirley Chang purchased 21 Ojibwa Circle from Ellicott Development’s 1094 Group LLC for $850,577.01.
