Author: Buffalo Rising

Sometimes the authors at Buffalo Rising work on collaborative efforts in order to cover various events and stories. These posts can not be attributed to one single author, as it is a combined effort. Often times a formation of a post gets started by one writer and passed along to one or more writers before completion. At times there are author attributions at the end of one of these posts. Other times, “Buffalo Rising” is simply offered up as the creator of the article. In either case, the writing is original to Buffalo Rising.

In order to broadcast the news, the company decided to film a three minute promotional video that features Buffalo NY backdrops, and stars BAK USA employees and their kids. The lead role in the short is Bak USA’s senior business developer Ian Donnelly. The short was filmed at Tifft Nature Preserve and Nichols School. Buffalo First is back. Not that it ever went away exactly. It’s just that for years it was a brand name organization in this city, and over the last few years we haven’t heard much about it. All the same, the message of Buffalo First continues to ring true to this day – buy local, support local, etc. By spending our hard earned dollars with Buffalo businesses, that money tends to stay and circulate within the local economy. Buffalo First envisions a “local, green, and fair” economy for Western New York, and the concept of a “triple bottom line” for…

Uber is once again making a point to let Buffalonians know what they are missing out on by not having the ride sharing service in their city. At this point, it’s impossible to take a limo, as they are all booked. The busses are all booked too, from what we can tell. The ride service options have dwindled, and there is no ride sharing in Buffalo. That leaves driving to the game yourself (with friends), or calling a cab. Yes, it’s nice to have the cab option in Buffalo, but wouldn’t it be better to have more options? Buffalo is…
