Salvaje Soul Session, a platform for extremely talented local and national independent recording artists who perform soul and R&B, is hosted and developed by Buffalo’s own Noble Salvaje. It embodies the sound of Buffalo, so to speak. “I was born and raised here in Buffalo, NY,” says Salvaje. “Raised on the fine artistry of Buffalo’s music world. I have written music for local and national recording artists like Brad Marquis. I saw the lack of a quality platform for artists to display their talents. So in 2010 I held the first Salvaje Soul Session at Nietzche’s which also included Buffalo’s own Rodney Appleby.”
Salvaje has been showcasing the finest artists from not only Buffalo, but other cities from all over the east coast, giving them exposure to a broader audience which has grown over the past 5 years. Artists performing on Friday October 9th include Leila Dey from Toronto Canada and National recording artist Gene Noble whose current single with Shaggy and Pittbull is rising up the charts.
The session is hosted by Noble Salvaje and supported by a group of professionally accomplished musicians, who play Jazz, Gospel, Traditional Soul and R&B. Band members include; Keyboardist Rufus Cole Jr., Carl “Flute” Johnson on Drums, Tony Cummings on Bass and Tone Banks on Rhythm Guitar.
The event will be held at Cobblestone, 130 South Park Ave, Buffalo, NY 14203.
