If you haven’t purchased your tickets to Slyfest, you better step to it! The Slyboots School of Music, Art & Dance is hosting this year’s festival at The Griffis Sculpture Park. By supporting Slyfest, guests will also be supporting The Slyboots School of Music, as the organization gears up to take its rightful place in the Richmond Ferry Church – an art complex project that is currently underway. For years, Slyboots has been looking for a home, where the group can spread its wings.
Slyboots director and founder, Griffin Brady, tells me that not only will they have a majestic roof overhead, the socially engaged school will also be surrounded by like-minded arts organizations that will all be working towards a greater cause.
As Slyboots grows, they will offer more programming at their church headquarters, and throughout the region. Slyfest is the organization’s biggest festival fundraiser, and helps Slyboots to run its music, dance and art programs.
