The drivers behind the Naval & Military Park Landscape Project are hoping that friends of the Naval Park come out to support a Naval Park fundraiser that will help to enhance many aspects of the military attractions at the waterfront. On Tuesday, August 25, 2015, from 5:30 to 8:00 pm, the community will come together to support our veterans, so that their memorials (new, old and unfolding) stand proud, with proper landscaping and maintenance. The event is called Party in The Park – A Tribute to Support Our Troops.
“Volunteering to restore and maintain the Naval Park’s grounds and monuments as a sign of gratitude and respect to the men and women who served in the military to preserve our freedoms.”
Attendees to the fundraiser will receive food from Liberty Hound restaurant, desserts by Eat Dessert First, live music by the fabulous Theresa Quinn Sextet, beer, wine, soft drinks; auction items, and docent-led tours.
For tickets to the event, call 716-847-1773 (ext. 15), go online to www.buffalonavalpark.org , or visit the Naval Park gift shop.

The anchor is from the USS Little Rock, and is being moved to a more prominent setting in the park, after undergoing a complete refurbishment .
