Back in May, I posted on a couple of murals that were underway at the time, both in close proximity to one another. Artist Nicole Cherry was busy painting her colorful work of art at the corner of South Park and Hamburg Streets (lead image). The flowery mural, which was completed soon after my initial visit, is just one of a few public works that Nicole is hoping to paint around town.
The second, much larger work of art, painted by Bruce Adams and Augustina Droze, wrapped up just under a month ago. The mural, titled “Go!”, is a nod to “retro-futuristic pop – Bauhaus ambiance”, according to its creators. The mural also incorporates imagery from its industrial surroundings. “Go!” can be found on the side of 95 Perry Street, which is owned by Sam Savarino and Chris Jacobs.
