What’s cuter than a little yellow rubber ducky?
Answer: A bunch of cute little yellow rubber duckies racing against each other at Canalside!
The Rotary Club of Buffalo, an organization that promotes the mantra “Service Above Self”, is hosting the inaugural Rubber Duck Derby. Starting at 11:30am on Sunday, participants can come down to Canalside and adopt a rubber ducky to race. The derby will start at the “Blue Line Bridge”.
Lead rubber ducky named “Rudy” will be present, setting the pace for the rest of the rubber duckies to follow. Donations raised during the day will go towards various Buffalo feel good projects. In the past, The Rotary Club of Buffalo has raised funds for projects that include Rotary Rink, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fontana Boathouse, Willie Hutch Jones Educational & Sports Programs, Literacy Volunteers, Cradle Beach, and Buffalo Police Athletic Association (PAL).
