Normally, if you want to go out and listen to some inspirational live gospel music, then you have to get up early, get dressed up, and head to church. Not that that’s a bad thing, it’s just that the “early” part, and the “dressing up” part can sometimes put a damper on otherwise well-intentioned plans. But fear not. The Hydraulic Hearth and The Black Sheep have got you covered.
On Sunday, August 23, 2015, fans of brunch and gospel will be able to attend a casual seating in Hydraulic Hearth’s beer garden. On that day, brunch-goers will be treated to the sounds of musician David Michael Miller’s group Miller & The Other Sinners, as they put on a gospel show that will knock your Sunday socks off.
“We’ve enjoyed the casual gospel brunch vibe in cities such as Austin, and between The Black Sheep, David Michael Miller, and our beer garden, we’re excited to present this uniquely Buffalo take on it,” said Hydraulic Hearth proprietor Harry Zemsky. “Religious beliefs are absolutely not required for this one – it’s all about coming together for good food, drinks, and music on a Sunday afternoon. ”
“Miller’s second solo album, “Same Soil,” currently stands at #5 on the Roots Music Report’s blues chart, behind Buddy Guy and Sonny Landreth.” – Hydraulic Hearth
