United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon passed by Uncle Sam’s Army Navy Outfitters on his way through Larkinville, only a short time ago.
The Secretary General was visiting Elon Musk’s SolarCity plant, and is making excursions to notable Buffalo destinations, including Michigan Avenue to check out the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church and the Nash House Museum – a key stop along the Underground Railroad.
“What an honor to have such a dignitary pass our store today,” said Rob Geist of Uncle Sam’s. Army Navy Outfitters. “And more importantly, a visit to our city, recognizing a renaissance that is taking place.”
Early on, Ban identified Global Warming as one of the primary issues in his administration – hence the interest in Musk’s SolarCity plant.
“For my generation, coming of age at the height of the Cold War, fear of nuclear winter seemed the leading existential threat on the horizon. But the danger posed by war to all humanity—and to our planet—is at least matched by climate change*.”
