On Saturday, July 11, 2015, from 12:00pm to 5:00pm, People United for a Sustainable Buffalo (PUSH), Ujima Theater Co., and the WASH Project will be hosting a Solar Jam in Mass Ave Park. Solar Jam is designed to to celebrate and bring exposure to PUSH’s new solar program, which is part of the PUSH Green initiative. The intention is to offer solar energy to low and moderate income residents who can benefit from the cost savings of the renewable energy resource.
“We’re anxious to bring the power of the sun to people all over Western New York and we couldn’t think of a better way to do it than with a family-friendly party in the heart of our neighborhood!” – PUSH Buffalo
The festival will feature live music, solar demonstrations, a roller skating party and plenty of friendly neighborhood faces.
Skate and inline rentals* will be made available by Turnaround Skates. Buffalo Afro Beat Orchestra will be delivering the select solar beats.
