RiverWorks is now the new home to the city’s largest LED HiDef screen. The screen was hoisted into the air this past Friday, just in time for VibeFest to kick off on Saturday.
The screen is 20′ wide 1.5 million pixels, and is said to be larger that the jumbotron screen at First Niagara. And the system at 716 Food and Sport is projection. The RiverWorks LED HiDef screen will be used for roller derby bouts, concerts and to show sports events.
Along with the new giant screen, RiverWorks has also installed a kayak launch by E-Z Dock. “New soft rollers work well with most kayaks,” says project developer/owner Doug Swift. “The launch sits to one side of the 300′ dock, which now being used by boaters (see photo below). Another 150′ of dock will be coming soon. ”
For people who don’t have their own kayaks, don’t worry. RiverWorks is also planning on getting into the kayak rental business.
