Today kicks off a solid week and a half of Buffalo Infringement Festival activities. The Infringement Festival (BiF) is a massive artistic undertaking that floods our city streets with both traditional and avant-garde performances and works of art. The 2015 Buffalo Infringement Festival runs from Thursday, July 23, through Sunday, August 2.
The Infringement Festival is an ever-present, grassroots initiative that seeks to surround us with art for art’s sake.
“The largest infringement festival in North America, this year more than 430 artists and performers at more than 90 venues, from stages to street corners, across the city.” – Infringe Buffalo
The festival is run by the hard work and determination of volunteers, and is an inclusionary mass production. For 11 years BiF has been going it alone without corporate influence, which in itself is a testament to the city of Buffalo and its cultural bounty.
