This Saturday, August 1, 2015, Black Rock and Riverside are coming alive with a garden tour and lecture series. For anyone who is interested in visiting, and learning about, fantastic gardens in a historic Buffalo setting, these events are a must. The Tour of Gardens is a self-guided, non-tickets event that will take place rain or shine. Each year, the Black Rock Riverside Alliance puts on this show, in order to introduce visitors to these aligned neighborhoods. Come for a tour, stay for a lecture!
“The Black Rock and Riverside tour of gardens is an excellent opportunity to see a neighborhood reblooming,” says neighborhood supporter Jessica Marinelli. “As a transplanted resident of this area for 5 year, I have come to know many neighbors on the tour and they have been working diligently all year – must see St. Florian Street, and of course spend some time wandering around St. Marks church and Riverside Avenue. Enjoy the colorful houses along with the vibrant landscaping this weekend!”
