A luxury penthouse at Avant is on the market for an even $2 million. Residence 1609 is a southeast-facing two-story penthouse with 3,731 sq.ft. of living space. If sold at close to full-ask, if would be break the record for a residential sale price in the city.

At $1.595 million, Avant unit 1601 remains the most expensive condominium sold in Erie County and is the second highest sale price for a residence in Buffalo. That honor currently belongs to the Miller Mansion at 175 Nottingham that traded hands in October 2010 for $1.7 million.
There are currently 39 residential properties on the market in Erie County asking over $1 million. Unit 1609 priced at $2 million, Avant unit 1509 priced at $1.49 million, and a tenth-floor unit at 925 Delaware at $1.1 million, are the only condominiums among them. Four other city properties are over the $1 million threshold: 115 Nottingham at $1.2 million, 164 Lincoln Parkway at $1.25 million, 171 Middlesex at $1.389 million, and 186 Middlesex at $1.399 million. The priciest listing is a 15,751 sq.ft. circa-1927 mansion at 555 Willardshire Road in the Town of Aurora with a whopping $7.5 million asking price.
