Summer in Buffalo means it’s time for the National Garden Festival. People are always eager to tour the medley of beautiful gardens we have in this area. One tour, however, looks beyond just the flowers and explores meaningful ways that the city of Buffalo is embracing Mother Nature and her environment.
On Saturday, August 1, 2015, the Beyond Flowers Tour visits seven exciting sites where project organizers will provide history and answer questions. Stops include an urban farm, a waterfront park, reclaimed vacant lots, a rooftop garden, and the Urban Habitat Project at Central Terminal. Lunch at Mutual Riverfront Park provides a view of the world famous grain elevators.
For $35, you can get an inside look at sustainability in action. Go see the greener side of Buffalo!
