Buffalo’s bike-ped ferry is afloat at the Inner Harbor. Earlier today, the crew was busy testing out the aquatic transport, taking it out on s series of test runs. The ferry is scheduled to be full operational next Friday, upon which time the public will be able to pay $1 to get to and from the Outer Harbor. The ferry joins The Spirit of Buffalo schooner and the Buffalo History Tours Barge at the terminus of the Erie Canal.
Not far away, at the site of the Aud Block Canals, crews are still busy preparing the park for visitors and tourists. The watered canals eagerly await the arrival of the small crafts that will be available to the public next Friday. Landscapers are focusing their efforts on planting flowers throughout the grounds, and the beer bridge looks like it’s ready for action (and beer).
Shark Girl appears to be enjoying her new home, stationed by one of the newly installed truss bridges. It will be a welcome sight to see this part of Canalside populated by people once everything is firing on all cylinders.
