Trimania, Buffalo Arts Studio’s notorious “fundraiser and epic celebration of art, music and mischief” is coming up this Saturday.
Once again Trimania will feature a wide range of live bands, DJs, dancers, performers, comedians, poets, and visual artists. The event will be held in the Tri-Main Center, boasting six floors of open art studios, performances and installations.
This year, Trimania is expected to draw 3000 visitors in support of Buffalo’s cultural and economic renaissance. Adding to the momentum in 2015, organizers have included a “new sixth floor dedicated to continuous musical performances, a revamped VIP party, and extensive Tri-Main Center tenant involvement.”
““This six-floor party doesn’t happen every year, so we encourage the community to join us for Trimania and embrace Buffalo’s cultural renaissance,” said Alma Carrillo, Executive Director of Buffalo Arts Studio. “Since the very first Trimania event in 2002, we’ve been celebrating emerging and established artists and supporting the community through stimulating programs and exhibits. We’re proud of Buffalo’s progress and feel privileged to be part of it.”
This year’s Trimania features:
- A large, open sixth floor destination, home to two stages for those seeking continuous musical performances by local bands like The Tins, Terry Sullivan’s Low Lamp Sessions and Irving Klaws.
- A VIP Party from 6-8 p.m. prior to the event’s official start, featuring the chance to mingle with some of WNY’s top artists, art supporters and likeminded individuals over hors d’oeuvres by Oliver’s, specialty drinks at an open bar, live music by The Hot Club of Buffalo, a live mural creation by Mary Ellen Bossert, and a full installation of PLUSH by artist Tommy Nguyen. The VIP event will culminate with a private tour of BAS.
- Extensive Tri-Main Center tenant participation by both new and past participants.
