While work ramps up at the new John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital and University at Buffalo Medical School, a third significant project at Main and High is winding down. Signs are going up on the south facade of Conventus, Ciminelli Real Estate’s 350,000 square foot, seven-story building that is opening this Spring.
Conventus will be home to multiple tenants including Kaleida Health and UBMD. New York State is locating a biomedical research facility on the building’s seventh floor. The research center will be anchored by Albany Molecular Research, Inc. (AMRI), a global contract research and manufacturing organization offering customers fully integrated drug discovery, development, and manufacturing services. Tenants have not been announced for the 90,000 sq.ft. of space on the building’s fifth and sixth floors.
Kideney Architects designed the building and LPCiminelli is general contractor.
