Here is a video that everyone should see. And after they see it they should pass it along. It’s a video that can, and should change the way we think about our daily lives, and what’s important. It’s not an “in your face” video. It’s a suggestive video that approaches the way we live with new eyes, and refreshed meaning.
Even if you don’t go the extreme route, “The Man Behind The Curtain” is a beautiful work that shows each and every one of us that there is a way to make things simpler, happier, and more rewarding. It’s about changing up the preconceived “game plan” that is constantly shoved in our faces. It’s about taking the more challenging roads, and then winding up in greener pastures.
What can I say about this video? It’s inspiring. It’s up-lifting. It makes me proud to live in Buffalo. It makes me want to walk more, drive less, eat pizza with Sriracha instead of blue cheese. It makes me want to be outside in the snow, and it makes me reëxamine the way I look at things. It reminds me of the life lessons that I learned in children’s books. To share. To think about others. To respect the planet. To take my time. To learn along the way… and never stop learning. It’s humbling and beautiful.
The video makes me laugh… and even tear up a little bit when I think about how far off track I sometimes get. It makes me think about priorities and weather, and community and neighborhoods and kids and relationships. It opens my eyes to a different world, an empowering world. It makes me appreciate family and Mother Nature. Sometimes, when life gets you down, it’s refreshing to know that there are people in this world who don’t take it for granted and live each and every day to the fullest.
