What better day than today to tout the glories of Buffalo’s winter. The record cold and non stop snow is getting pretty old as we head into the last weeks of February. Even those of us who love winter get a bit weary of the frigid onslaught on our senses at this time of year. But, check out these amazing images of Lake Erie’s frozen beauty and tell me that this stunning landscape of ice is not one of the most beautiful things you have ever seen. Thousands of square miles of ice spreading out to the horizon is as magnificent as any natural wonder on the planet and it sits at Buffalo’s door step. Get out and see it in person before it is gone for the season. Hard to believe that in four short months gentle summer breezes will bring swimmers and sailors to this place.
The photos were taken by a very cold “Nathan Mroz of BuffaloScenicPrints.com. Nathan has dozens of additional Buffalo images on his web site where you can find contact information and purchase your own Buffalo scenic print. You can also see and buy many of Nathan’s photographs at his stand in the Eastern Hills Mall. he will have some of these and other winter images there in the near future.
