Want to get to know Buffalo’s premier skaters a bit better? Come meet the team up close and personal at the team’s annual chili cook-off fundraiser on Saturday, February 7, 2015. The Lake Effect Furies are known as Buffalo’s internationally ranked all-star travel roller derby team, which means that these are the gals that are our representing this city on the road.
Yes, The Furies are hot. And that’s why they want to sample some of the best chili recipes in the region. Whether you’re up for making your own fiery batch of chili, or you simply want to join in on the sampling, everyone is welcome to attend the cook off coming up at Appliance Associates of Buffalo (200 Amherst Street, Buffalo) from 6:30-10:30 pm.
The Appliance Associates of Buffalo venue is just as hot as some of the chilis that will be served up. The industrial warehouse, stocked with some of the most sought after appliances in the kitchen world, is the perfect spot for just such a bout.
