A new eight mile trail is working wonders for the citizens of Indianapolis. NationSwell.com has taken a close look at how one trail is helping to radically transform the city, despite the fact that the cultural advancement is relatively new. Buffalo could learn a lot from this type of initiative. At this point, this city has a bunch of key destinations, but connectivity is lacking.
Moving forward we need to examine the relationship between districts such as Larkinville and Canalside. Once the entranceways to the Peace Bridge are moved away from Porter Avenue, a street of that nature could be integral in connecting the city and the waterfront, especially if LaSalle Park was also reexamined as an extension of such a trail. It’s all about getting people excited about the “getting there” part of the journey.
