This might be one of the more unusual holiday gift selections, but when you’re looking to hook a “hard to please” person with something that is personal and spectacular…
Have you ever thought about gifting someone a mural? Artist Vinny Alejandro is offering his services to anyone who is looking to buy a mural for someone for the holidays.
A couple of married friends of mine recently moved back from Seattle, and brought their 12 year old home with them. The young boy was born and grew up in Seattle, so they wanted to make his room as cool and comfortable as possible. The mother hired Vinny to paint a custom mural on her son’s wall (see photo), and the surprise was better than she ever could have imagined. Vinny incorporated some Seattle imagery and some Buffalo imagery, along with a lot of other sports related icons that would appeal to the lad. The unexpected mural encompassed the entire wall of the room, and, needless to say, was a huge hit.
If you have someone that could use a mural, indoors or outdoors, send Vinny a note (see contact process below) and let him get to work on something that is truly special for the person that you love!
From Vinny:
I am currently taking commissions (preferably indoor this time of year) for murals and custom paintings of both homes and businesses. I do custom paintings on canvas of homes, businesses, landmarks, favorite places and even graffiti style names and characters for kids and even adults with sports or cartoon themes. I also do murals of just about anything for living rooms, man/woman caves, sports rooms and also businesses.
Since I “painted my way back” to Buffalo I have been involved in various projects around the city including the Old First Ward History mural, Junior League-Future Blooms projects and have painted commissioned murals for businesses like Catalyst Fitness (all three locations), Love is Love Barber shop, O’Daniels Grille just to name a few. I also sell prints of the Buffalo Series paintings of landmarks in Buffalo that I used to fund my move back to my home town. My art page is www.facebook.com/UrbanInspirations. My contact information is listed on the page.
