Come snow, come rain, come sleet, the Buffalo Lazy Randonneur Club (BLRC) is always ready to take on the cycling challenges of winter. If you are a cyclist who is looking to head out on a group ride in December, then look no further than the BLRC Winter Solstice Wassail 2014 (see Facebook event).
“‘Tis the Season indeed for us Buffalonians. To ring in the Winter Season we shall host a Wassail on the shortest day of the year. Our plan is to gather at Front Park at 3:00pm to prepare a Wassail to toast the early sunset at 4:44pm. Bringing the daylight to an end after 9 hours, one minute and eight seconds. So decorate your bike and join the revelry. The Winter Solstice draws nigh and as luck would have it, falls on Sunday, December 21st, 2014.”
Be sure to check out the FB event page to see all of the provisions that you might want to bring along to keep you nice and toasty at this event. As always, you can expect a friendly crew of cyclists, who are always looking to meet new people in Buffalo. So ride along and learn a few things about this city and its people. You are guaranteed to have a blast.
