For a long time, Buffalo was just “cheap”. But that didn’t matter, because who wants to move to a city on the decline, where everyone is trying to get out of Dodge? Today things are a lot different. The city is undergoing a renaissance and the city’s real estate prices are on the rise. At the same time the city is still super affordable, especially when it comes to buying a home (compared to other cities of course).
The Huffington Post has posted on the ten most affordable housing markets in the US, and guess what? Yes, Buffalo is prominently featured. In the past, one might have said “Yeah, but who wants to live there? Of course the housing prices are cheap.” For the first time in a long time, there’s a balance. The housing prices are still relatively cheap, and the city is becoming a very desirable place to live. You could’s ask for a better combination (see the article here).
If you want to read about some accolades from a family that recently moved to Buffalo, there’s an interesting blog post called “Hello, Buffalo!” You can read it here.
If you’ve been hemming and hawing about moving back home, or you’ve been considering Buffalo as a place to relocate, there hasn’t been a better time (in the last 60 years).
