If you’re a fan of jazz, and you’ve been waiting for an invitation to check out the new Metropolitan Entertainment Complex at 1670 Main Street, here is your chance. Van Taylor of Taylor Made Jazz is orchestrating an evening of jazz, blues, R&B, funk
and original music that shines a light on some of Buffalo’s most talented musicians, while supporting our troops and veterans at the same time. “I chose to do this concert to raise awareness of our new initiative, Music on the FrontLines, which supports our troops overseas and veterans at home,” said Taylor, founder of Taylor Made Jazz. “We hope everyone will come and enjoy the show, and support our future.”
Vocalists include: Sharon Banks, Joey Diggs, Juanita Duncan, Melissa Kate, Sandra Toussaint, and Joyce Wilson Nixon.
Musicians include Mike Crymes, Brian Freeman, Jeff Nixon, Nelson Thomas, and Buffalo Music Hall of Fame inductees Jerry Livingston, Van Taylor, and Ron Walker.
These singers and musicians are coming together for an unprecedented occasion, in a venue that is relatively new to Buffalo’s music scene. The Metropolitan Entertainment Complex (MEC) is spacious and boasts all of the amenities that musicians and fans clamor for. Hopefully, we will see more of these types of live music events taking place at MEC, as there is a real need to see more of these types of clubs thrive in Buffalo. Come support our local musicians, and our veterans at the same time.
